About the Costa del Sol
Crown Resorts is situated in the heart of Spain's Costa del Sol, one of Europe's premier holiday destinations. Basking in well over three hundred days of sun, the 'Sunshine Coast' is an ideal summer and winter holiday destination. Here are just some of the many activities and places of interest worth a visit (click here to see information about the many excursion destinations on offer):

Beaches
Literally miles and miles of sandy beaches stretch from Fuengirola to Marbella. Many have beach bars or 'chiringuitos' which provide basic snacks or 'tapas' and freshly caught fish from the Mediterranean.

Golf
With over fifty courses the Costa del Sol is known as Europe's premier winter golf destination. High seasons are September to November and March to May. There are over 30 courses within a 30 minute drive of the Crown Resorts. See Vacation Golf for details and booking facility (advance booking essential).

Aquaparks (Tickets bookable through reception)
There are two locally, the nearest is the Mijas waterpark which is located in Fuengirola some 10 kms from the Crown Resorts, and is open from May to October, (Contact reception for more information). The other is the Atlantis Aquapark, near the N340 at Torremolinos.

Watersports
There are numerous Jet Ski and Water-ski operations along the coast. Serious windsurfers might consider a trip to Tarifa (120 km) one of Europe's most famous surfing areas.

Scuba Diving
Introduction or top-up courses are available locally, these can be booked at your resort reception.

Go Karting
There are race tracks in Mijas, Fuengirola and Marbella.

Tennis
Crown Resorts have a tennis court at Club Calahonda which can be booked through the Calahonda reception. There are also several tennis clubs in the area, and bookings for courts at these clubs can be made through your resort reception.

Crown Green Bowling
There are three Crown greens within 5 kms.

Bike Hire
Bikes are available for hire from the Delta Mar Reception and Leisure Centre and Club Marbella reception.

Horseriding
A number of local stables offer tuition for novices, as well as trekking for more experienced riders.

Horse Show
Featuring the famous Andalucian horses, this show takes place every Wednesday at 17.30. Contact Reception for more information.

Amusement Park
Tivoli World at Benalmadena has numerous rides and attractions which should suit most guests from 5 to 105! It is open from 17.00 daily, April to October, and often has live entertainment shows.  

Night Clubs
Clubbers and party animals will find an abundance of clubs available in Fuengirola, Marbella and the famous Puerto Banus. Most open for business at 01.00hrs running through to the early morning!

SeaLife Aquarium
Journey under the sea, without getting wet! Fascinating exhibitions at this Benalmadena attraction.

Puerto Banus
Get a taste of the highlife and visit this jet-set haunt of the rich and famous - high-rollers flock to the tables in the Nueva Andalucia Casino until dawn. Enjoy a drink or meal in one of the restaurants & cafe-bars which overlook the luxury super-yachts moored in the marina.

Entertainment Complex
The 'World of Torrequebrada' includes a Dinner and Show, Piano Bar, and Casino. Shows Tuesday to Saturday, dinner starts at 21.00. Information can be found at your Crown Resort reception.

Street Markets
There are local open-air markets held on most days of the week, the most important being on Tuesdays at Fuengirola, and on Saturdays at Puerto Banus.

Fairs (Fiestas)
The Andalucians love to party! Guests should not miss visiting one of the many colourful week-long street fiestas which each local town celebrates sometime between April and October. Wine and sherry flow (around the clock) with spectacular shows and dancing.

Cocodriles Park
Set in the beautiful Guadalhorce Valley, 15 mins from Malaga and 30 mins from Marbella, Cocodriles Park gives a rare opportunity to get close to the world of crocodiles.
